Inde Motorsports Ranch is a private motorsports club located just 75 minutes east of Tucson in Willcox, AZ on over 1,700 sprawling acres surrounded by gorgeous mountain views. We offer our members guaranteed access to our highly technical 2.75 mile road course and first class facilities in a safe, secluded, and private atmosphere at all times of operation. We have created a truly unique motorsport experience that is incomparable anywhere in North America.

We are the only private motorsports club that incorporates an FAA approved private airport, hangar, observation tower, and private garages with the finest racing and touring road course for automobiles, motorcycles, and karts anywhere in the country. We are also one of the few private motorsports club that is accessible 365 days a year due to our high desert climate.

The Apache tribe, including Cochise and Geronimo, once inhabited the area where the IMR course and facilities now stand. The name “Inde” comes from the Apache word for “the people”. We also integrated the Apache symbol for “maker of dreams and visions” into our logo, which is represented by the blue, red, and yellow lines. We chose this name and symbol not only because of our respect for the Apache, but also because we have created a track and overall environment that allows our members and their guests the flexibility, freedom, and independence to enjoy each track experience as they see fit.

We offer something for almost every motorsport enthusiast: a professional, semi-pro, or novice driver looking to hone their skills and techniques or a collector seeking enjoyment by testing the limits of their new or vintage vehicle. With over 30 distinct track configurations and numerous amenities, each member and their guest can enjoy almost a completely unique experience every time they visit IMR.

IMR opened December 12, 2009 and we are currently interviewing prospective members that have expressed a strong interest in being a part of this extraordinary opportunity. We are looking for members who are truly passionate about the driving experience and who seek a destination to be among like-minded individuals. Our current members made an investment with us not only because of our track and facilities, but also because they believe in our vision and understand our capabilities.

We will always be accessible to our members and we have the ability to make decisions quickly in order to accommodate their needs. We will have an extremely limited membership availability in order to provide our members with guaranteed access, personalized service, and to ensure a better overall enjoyment. Please review the detailed information contained on this site and please do not hesitate to call or email with any questions or to request further details on becoming a member of IMR.

The Owners

The owner and CEO of Inde Motorsports Ranch is Graham Dorland, a successful entrepreneur whose previous ventures include: Founder and CEO of ABX Air, Inc (dba Airborne Express), Partner in development of DC-9 hush kits, and Founder and CEO of Nautamatic Marine Systems, Inc , which used patented technologies for marine autopilots and was sold to Garmin in 2006. An avid car collector and enthusiast, Mr. Dorland wanted to find the ideal location to build a challenging yet enjoyable track for people like himself that are passionate about the driving experience. Site selection took over two years until he found 1700 acres of pristine land in Willcox that would provide the track not only with great elevation changes but breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Mr. Dorland enlisted the help of Barry Ellis to design the track layout. Mr. Ellis has an extensive racing background providing custom fabrication for high horsepower vehicles. Six of his vehicles have broken world records for horsepower in their class, including Corvettes, Supras, and Vipers. He is President and minority owner of IMR. The other minority owner is Graham's son CJ Dorland who moved to Arizona to head up the sales and marketing program for Inde Motorsports in December 2008. A graduate of the University of Arizona, CJ lived in Los Angeles prior to joining IMR where he worked in commercial real estate development and successfully consummated over $120MM in transactions.

After closing escrow in November 2008 and receiving the necessary approvals for our Special Use Permit, construction of the track began in late May 2009. We cut, filled and graded over 35,000 cubic yards of dirt in less than a month. We were then ready to lay and compact nearly 25,000 tons of Aggregate Base Course throughout the track and access roads. We had very minimal weather related delays which allowed us to begin hauling the asphalt in early July. We were able to pour roughly 1,000 tons of asphalt per day which enabled the track and access roads to be completed by late July. After allowing the asphalt to cure for about 3 weeks, the first hot lap at Inde took place on August 16, 2009. When all was said and done, we had poured over 1 million square feet of asphalt in less than 4 months.

To finish a project of this scope, especially during a tough economic period, required a great deal of hard work and preparation but we were able to persevere and accomplish it. We have many more goals we plan to accomplish and we think this example demonstrates our capability and determination to make Inde Motorsports Ranch the finest motorsport club in the country.
